RAMBODA Shri BHAKTA HANUMAN Temple & Waterfalls, SRI LANKA

It is at a distance of 150 km from Sri Lanka's Capital city Colombo. With the blessings of Gurudev Sankalpa who came Sri Lanka in 1980, the Chinmaya Mission constructed this temple in 1981. Moola Murti Hanuman, 16ft tall was consecrated on 8th April 2001. Vinayakar, Dhyaneshwar and Sri Rama with Mother Sita and Lakshmana are the Parivara Murtis According to the legend, this is where Hanuman searched for Sita in the jungles above and behind the temple. There is also said to be pond the "Sita Tear Pond" which was formed from Sita's tears. This Ramboda are is believed to be an area where Rama's forces were gathered against Ravana.
