I n this 33rd Video, ROUNDS TUBE describes the history of the Tirta Empul Temple and its Holy Spirings built at TAMPAKSIRING, Bali, Indonesia. This temple is a Hindu Balinese Water temple located in the town of Tampaksiring, Bali. The temple compount has a Petirtaan famous for its holy spiring water, where the Hindus do their ritual purification. The temple consists of three parts, Front yard, Inner Yard and the Centre Yard. This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The holy spring feeds various purification baths, pools and fish ponds which all flow to the Tukad Pakerisan River. Pilgirms first approach the purification bath consisting of 13 spouts lining from West to East. 12th and 13th spouts are reserved for purification use in funerary rites only. It is told in History that Indiran formed this Holy spiring to save his people from the Mayadenama, a Balinese ruler, who denied the religious prayers and practices to Hindus. The legend goes that this eventually angered the gods
